Step behind the black door and enter The Shadow Cabinet. Here, there is no better remedy for the terrors of modernity than bizarre ghost stories told in jovial tones. Listen to myths of monsters from behind gothic jazz-infused indie rock, with supercharged piano, silky smooth bass, striking guitar, and stirring beats. Formed in 2022, The Shadow Cabinet have been making nonsense sound like poetry with a unique groove which fans have described as “satisfactory”. Tim is quite literally a key player, as he twists the lead piano styles of Keane and vintage jazz in and around his nimble vocal swagger.
As a classically trained guitarist, Sam’s energetic Simon Rix-style bass will have you head-bobbing to a symphony until your neck is sore.
With the jazz drumming chops to shuffle you out of your shoes, Henry cuts through the noise and guides you through the nonsense.
Joe’s guitar playing has two settings: bombastic drama & creepy atmosphere, though the switch occasionally gets stuck somewhere in the middle.
